Since 1982. We currently own two Wirtgen 2100 DC planing machines

During the Company expansion in 1981/82 when the Company began road re-surfacing

JOHN A BATES (CONTRACTORS) LTD was one of the first purchasers of a Blaw Knox

Paver fitted with their new ‘Omni Screed 5’ extending screed.

We currently own and operate three Bitelli pavers (BB52/BB670/BB650) and an ABG Titan

To enable JOHN A BATES (CONTRACTORS) LTD to offer a fully rounded service to our

clients the company has retained its ‘Grass Root’ services. We have dedicated teams of

highly skilled kerb layers/block pavers/ironwork specialist and groundworks crews

.A relatively new enterprise for JOHN A BATES (CONTRACTORS) LTD. We now own

and operate a road marking vehicle and employ a road marking crew with

over 10 years experience. We hold Sector 7 Scheme accreditation.

Having purchased a new hot applied high friction surfacing machine

and achieved BBA/HAPAS approved installer accreditation, we already have a large

portfolio of completed work for Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.
